Peranakan Project with Clache Roang, Sabrina Basuki, Stine Baska and Vania Djunaidi

Focusing on themes of remembrance and the holding of disappearing histories, visual artists will create points of connection between the past and present cultures of Southern and South East Asia, exploring senses of belonging, while engaging with audiences through performance and installation. Through quotidian objects and personal narratives, these travellers change and adapt a collected memory, creating new gifts for the now. Diaspora displaced, creating bridges from the past to a current space, embracing a diverse future in celebration of our contemporary multicultural world.
